A dear friend of mine recently encouraged me start a blog. Little did she know it's been something I've been wanting to do, but for one reason or another I didn't. I've been told a few times in my life that I was good at writing from my experience. So that is what I am going to do. Write from my encounters with a holy and beautiful Father, friend, and comforter.  I hope these words inspire, challenge, and encourage you. I pray that when you read the Holy Spirit ignites revelation and excitement in your spirit that you burn with the passion to see Heaven come to Earth!

Recently, like so many others, I decided that I wanted to "get healthy" this new year. But I wasn't going to call it a resolution, I thought if I did that I was sure to fail. So I just said, we are making some changes around here and since I do all the grocery shopping and cooking there wasn't really anything anyone could do about it! The biggest part of that change was going organic. For years I've had friends that have adopted this lifestyle or at least part of it, but with our very tight budget I didn't see how this was even possible. So I just kinda blew it off like that was something people with a lot more money than I do. So when I recently started entertaining the thought of buying organic and whole foods I decided to take a Kingdom approach to it instead of saying, "I'd like to buy healthier food, but I'm just too poor." I decided to look at who my Father was and realize I've got everything I need in Him and He really cares about what I care about. So thanks to my hardcore health nut friends and Pinterest I made my grocery list, clipped my coupons, and prayed. I walked into my first grocery store and spent quite a bit of time looking for all the organic foods on my list and staying focused on the reason I made this choice. So when I checked out at my first store, (I usually visit 2-3 stores to get the best deal possible), I was very pleasantly surprised. It didn't cost me anymore than what it usually did. Now I did cross a few things of my list as I went. Thinking, well what I have at home can last another week or we don't really need that this week. So I continued on the my other stores and at the end of my shopping my grocery bill was only $15 more than what it would normally cost me! I considered that a huge success and was so thankful to God for helping me with this decision. So remember I said I crossed some things off my list? Well the next day Chris was at work and called me to tell me he was at a costumers house and they gave him some coupons for me! Now these people didn't know Chris at all so they certainly didn't know me, or what a crazy coupon lady I was! As he was reading off the coupons to me most of what he said were the things I marked off my list and a few others were just bonus items I'd like to buy, but didn't. And these coupons were awesome! Name brand and way better than anything in the paper or online. They were practically free! At that moment I was just overcome with the love God has for me. He really cares about what I care about! Some people may say, well that was a coincidence, or you just made a few good choices, but I choose to believe, "Every good and perfect gift comes from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights..." James 1:17

So I said that to say, He cares about what you care about. He's not too busy for you. The Father knew my heart and said, "Sure I will help you." He's a perfect Father, a perfect love. Regardless of whether it's an issue, a need, a want, whatever it's not to small for him. We hear that nothing is impossible for God, which is TOTALLY true. Nothing is too big for Him. But just as much as he cares about the "big" miracles he cares about the "small" ones just as much. "If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I'm trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with gettingso you can respond to God's giving. People who don't know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met." Matthew 6:30-33 The Message. I had an everyday human concern and He met me. This is what it means to have a personal relationship with Him. Taking Him into every part of our lives not just the parts we "think" He cares about, because He cares about it all!

Father- I pray that we give you everything, every human need and want. I pray that we begin to see ourselves as you see us. I pray that we open up ourselves even more to allow You in, that we acknowledge that you are with us in everything we do and everywhere we go because you want to be there, because you love us. Help us to relax Lord and receive what You want to give us. Thank you for being the Father you are.
